Land subdivision works Harrington Waters Estate

Devcon Civil partnered with Roche Group to successfully deliver a full service development site for 24 residential land lots, with a future 3 lot ‘superlots’ also being serviced. This subdivision included trunk drainage reshaping, stormwater drainage, road pavement construction, footpath construction including a 2.5km lead in cycleway which linked the development site to Harrington.

This project included delivery and management of all services (electricity, NBN, water and sewer), road pits and overland flow works, geotechnical testing, road paving construction, kerb and gutter, fencing (mix of pool safe barrier and lapped and capped timber), hard and soft landscaping, footpaths and cycleway.

Extreme and unseasonal, once in a generation, wet weather with over 2 meters of rain throughout the project impacted low-lying areas. The Devcon team were quick to deploy measures to manage tidal waters from the Manning River by constructing mini cofferdams to limit the water entering the stormwater system. The stormwater drainage system was then fast-tracked to provide relief and ensure the project remained on track.

Environmental impacts required expert management of the ingress and egress of stormwater runoff during construction, including limiting the effects of disturbance alongside the adjoining Harrington Waters Golf Course. The team ensured that any disturbed areas were adequately re-vegetated upon completion.
