After relentless flooding events during 2020 – 2022 in the Hawkesbury Region, Devcon was proud assist with this portion of rehabilitation to Hawkesbury Councils flood damaged roads, funded by NSW Government. The works were completed under traffic control to minimise disruption to the local businesses and residents. The scope involved:
• Clearing and grubbing.
• Sedimentation and erosion control.
• Removal and disposal of existing failed seal and pavement
• Cartage and disposal of excavated material.
• Subgrade replacement
• Construct 460mm deep base with imported DGB20 material in multiple layers
• 14/10 double coat sprayed seal.
The restored road will provide much needed improved access to the primary producing businesses and residents.
