Devcon has successfully delivered two major projects for Sekisui House Australia at their Asora development in Sydney’s North West. Working in close collaboration with The Hills Shire Council, both Irongum Terrace Reserve and Stage 1 of the Asora subdivision were completed, establishing key infrastructure to support future growth.
At Irongum Terrace Reserve, the scope included site clearing, traffic management, service relocation, and bulk earthworks under Level 1 geotechnical supervision, including rock hammering. Detailed excavation, concrete access driveway construction, and stormwater drainage works using concrete pipes and pits were completed, along with the unsung hero of the site: a 300,000L Dincel on-site detention tank featuring a Bondek suspended roof slab. Now mostly hidden from view, the roof of the tank subtly serves as a terrace-style public area. Downstream drainage along Salamander Grove was also upgraded to accommodate the new outlet conditions. The project was finalised with blockwall retaining structures, sewer adjustments, fencing, and new signage. Close liaison with neighbouring residents helped ensure the smooth delivery of these intricate works.
Asora Stage 1 involved similar civil works, including bulk excavation, stormwater drainage installation, concrete sleeper retaining walls, and on-site detention infrastructure. Devcon also delivered full utility services—water, sewer, electrical, gas, and telecommunications—and completed the project with landscaping, providing a ready platform for the Shawood team to bring the first display homes and residences to life.
