Katoomba subdivision

Devcon partnered with CTF Properties to deliver a 48-lot subdivision nestled in the beautiful Blue Mountains. The project encompassed extensive environmental management, bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage installation, utility installation (electrical, NBN, potable & wastewater) and bush regeneration.

This project was unique in a number of ways:
• a bushland conservation corridor runs through the middle of the project, which was carefully preserved
• sewer installation was completed via an underground bore to preserve bushland and connect to the local network
• a redesign was required in collaboration with ecologists and designers to protect endangered species of flora including implementing protective measures when working in close proximity
• ongoing bushland regeneration completed throughout the project in accordance with the vegetation management plan
• being situated in its own extreme weather pattern required proactive planning and management

Devcon maintained strong engagement with residents to manage access and keep disruptions to a minimum throughout the civil works.
