Install driveway and car park

Devcon partnered with Greenway Plaza to transform underutilized land into a functional car park and driveway, integrating construction with existing stormwater and sewer infrastructure. The project improved safety and accessibility for staff and visitors while incorporating cost-saving solutions such as a revised pavement design.

Challenges included working in a shaded area during winter, which delayed drying, and coordinating with adjacent construction to ensure efficiency. As the vehicle entry was on a state-controlled road, Devcon managed approvals with Transport for NSW. The narrow site required precise sequencing and specialized vehicles to complete the work effectively.

Construction began with site clearing, earthworks, and drainage installation, including a Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT). Devcon then installed the retaining wall and pavement which all combined to complete the project and the desired outcome: easing of vehicle congestion and enhancing accessibility at the centre.
