Allam Property required the development of 78 residential land lots which required importing and placement of engineered fill along with a tight timeline to work with.

With industry-wide material shortages the team at Devcon offered alternative approaches to ensure the project could be delivered on schedule and meet all of the clients requirements.

The scope included management of 10,000m3 of silt, extracted from the land and existing dam, which will be incorporated into future stages as a far more economical solution to disposing offsite. There were also wet weather factors involved which included an alternative road sub base material designed to reduce disruption during rain periods. 

The large dam required dewatering during the process with a controlled release alongside silt containment.

With a line-up of dump trucks, graders, excavators, rollers and swivel tippers Devcon has currently delivered a sandstone road sub-base and over 1km of drainage works consisting of 1800 dia concrete pipes and box culverts.
