Devcon took on the challenge of enabling safe traffic entry via a slip lane into the newly repurposed large format retail centre at King Street, Warrawong. Set in the midst of heavy and consistent traffic, our team successfully completed the works including a strategically placed bus stop.
Navigating complexities such as live electrical cables, continuous pedestrian flow, tidal water ingress, and round-the-clock work shifts, Devcon overcame and were still able to deliver.
Our comprehensive scope of work involved the removal and reconstruction of road pavement, footpaths, and kerbs, as well as the installation of TfNSW specification pavement for vehicle lanes. We also implemented new stormwater lines, poured fresh kerb, and added essential elements like bollards, signage, and line markings.
Devcon’s commitment to excellence extended beyond construction tasks to rigorous coordination with local authorities. We strategically scheduled night works and implemented effective traffic management measures, minimising disruptions for both road users and local businesses throughout the project.
Despite these challenges, our dedicated team completed the high quality project, ahead of the project’s original completion date.
